how do i change my server to FFA ?????
 

i have a server from xgameserver and run tdm most of the time but wanted to checkout ffa and i did the rcon command g_gametype 1 and didnt work....any help would be great.

is there a program that will change game types??

youcan just log into ftp root and edit your server.cfg file. read it and you will see where gametype is entered and how to make it so ffa is on. also edit your ffa.cfg file for server name and whatnot. than restart the server.

rcon set g_gametype 1

Gothic Child is correct, but you may have to enter your password as well.

rcon your_password set g_gametype 1
You'll have to restart the map or move to another map before it takes effect as well.

Make your new .cfg file with FFA mode on. Go to Xgameservers website and stop your server completely. Put the .cfg file in place, and go back to the website and completely restart it. That's how I did it when I had a server, and it worked fine.

thanks for all the help guys but come to findout it was a mod i had added to our server that was preventing me to change to FFA....

EZRcon is a very nice tool, m8

I've adjusted the above EZRcon and made some new features on it, like more force screenshots buttons (.pk3, path, models, score etc) / activation button / well u just have to see for urself. If u want u can have it or just take them both and see which one u likes the best.

But u have to upload some MAM files to ur server, but don't worry if u want I have them for u as well.

this automatically restarts the server using this config

dude maybe after u put in the gametype_1 command after it says must restart have you tried actually going to the map u want? LOL
