Spearhead 2.15 sound issue
 

I installed the 2.15 Spearhead patch and now the russian smg and a few other weapons don't play a sound when fired. Has anyone else had this issue? Ans, more importantly, has anyone found a fix?

if you have any custom maps in your mainta folder it can cut out sounds

What kind of sound card do you have?

I have a SoundBlaster Live! and I had the same problem. Here something to try if you have the same card:

1.Go to Programs, Creative, Audio HQ, Sound Font.

2.Select the third tab, Options. You can allocate a little less than half of your system RAM to the sound font cache.


This helps, but does not cure the sound dropping out.
