agp or pci video card
What is the difference between agp or pci video card, and how do you know how if your computer will accept it? also how do i know how many agp or pci slots i have in my computer?
|
You have to open the case up to look at the motherboard.
The picture indicates the difference in the slots. If you have an AGP, which is better than PCI video, there will only be one compared to numerous PCI. http://www.cyberiapc.com/images/moth... inside.<br /> |
motherboards generally have 1 agp slot, which is the large dark brown slot located above the other pci slots (light brown). it really depends on what parts you have. you really want to get an AGP video card, though.

Go with AGP if you have one. |
By far use the AGP slot for your VC its by far the fastest PCI is to slow to run any games any more i use to use a Vooddo 3 2000 PCI card till i had
heard of AGP cards and now they are by far what all of us use. |
Go with an AGP.
PCI isnt worth it. |
the only reason i can see you buying a pci card is if your too poor to buy a motherboard with agp
