CALLING ALL MODDERS, MAPPERS, AND SCRIPTERS

Hey.

I'm interested in undertaking a rather large project in creating a small conversion mod, like City Nights, only it is still in World War II. It is themed under Dieppe, a famous (and disasterous) raid on a french port city in 1942, undertaken by Canadian, British, and American troops (in order of most troops sent, Canada having most, US having least).

Now, I have no experience whatsoever in modding, mapping, or scripting. But I am a pretty good history buff, so I could help ensure that this conversion stays pretty historically accurate, and write a detailed story (fully non-fictional) about the conversion mod, creating a good theme and story making players have a background knowledge of what is going on.

If you are interested, and are a good modder/mapper/scripter, please reply.

Thanks.

There was already a Dieppe map released a long time ago. What else is there? Existing weapons and skins are perfectly adequate to the setting. There are Canadian skins around if you want them.

Hmmm...I'm failing to see the logic in your arguement. If you are refering to me not knowing jackshit about Dieppe and Allied World War II History, then you're a moron who doesn't have any base to form an arguement. If you are saying I don't know jackshit about modding, then you are still a moron who just likes to repeat previously made comments: "Now, I have no experience whatsoever in modding, mapping, or scripting". You can check back to first post, slick. hake:

I do believe that 99.9999% of projects don't work. This post wasn't the start of a project, it was merely an inquirey about if anyone was interested in a summer project.

And believe me, I don't care to take any credit in this project. I wouldn't even sign my name to it. Why would I? To gain admiration from young'ns like Simo Haydash;da? Whatever, playa.

There was a Dieppe map already made? Nice. Can you drop me a link if you can find it? Thanks.

You shitheels. If you can't help him, don't post in his topic. You'd THINK a moderator would stop that kinda bullshit. But THIS is why these forums are shit nowadays.

in respose to the topic I would be more than glad to help, and as a history buff myself know a good deal about the dieppe raid myself. If I wasnt already up to my ass with the mod Im workin on I'd help. gimme a couple weeks and well see what I can do. Oh and btw, to make that mod realistic to the setting them it would require at least SOME British weapons.

right eek: the easiest job of any tc is to know your history, then let your imagination take over for the rest of the project.
oh well i dont care either way, good luck with your project i guess. just remember if you're going to go through with this your dev team needs a forum. i have been in 2 TCs (both failed due to no communication between members)
forums + hard work = success

Well said deleto if some asks a question why are 99% of replys either nothing to do with topic or bullshit from ppl who know less than they think they do. No wonder allied assault died a horrible and painful death soon spearhead will follow unless new blood is injected.

So what if the project fails at least he tried and the guys who want to help him i applaiud cos the got of their ass's and tried

so next time u want to diss someone try me i dont give a fuck

PS i would help mate only my mods arnt shit lol i know how 2 do it just no well enuff
