I downloaded a utility called GeForce Tweaker which allows me to overclock any Invidia card. My clock speed is 200 and core memory speed is 333. Anyone know how much I can push these settings to get more performance in Allied Assault(+ other games)
with my GeForce GTS2-32 mg. card ? This demo is the first game that is choking my system(Pentium III-800, 256 RAM) in heavy action.

Watch yourself with that program. It messed up my pc pretty bad. Not sure why. I just changed small settings in it, nothing major and then reset my pc after i was done, and once i had, windows was corrupted. I had to reinstall winxp.

im on my second geforce this month.. I tweaked it and fuxxored everything up. I dodnt even over-clock it. And when a video card goes bad you can smell it :P
So far this week ive had to reinstall windows, replace a os/2 fuse and replace the video card.
There is no reason to overclock it unless you can afford the mess it may cause.

i wouldn't do it if i were you. you'd void the warranty. also it lessons the life of a video card by premature overheating.

Haha. You fried a video card by tweaking settings? You're full of shit. What's an os/2 fuse? You made that up. The only os/2 I know of is an os.

If you did fry a video card(Overclocking EXTREMELY high), you wouldn't smell it, it would just not work anymore, or display artifacts.

Now, old did you say you were? 10? Yeah, that must be it.

Overclocking is safe, as long as you use common sense.

gapman: How old is your Geforce 2? The first batches of Geforce 2's don't overclock nearly as much as the later ones.

Well dude 1st of all you should get a crystal orb for the GPU thats 1 and 2nd get ARtic Silver to put between the GPU and the orb 3rd use that also for the video cards ram and heat sinks when you get that out of the way then.

go to like overlockers.com or where ever and download the registry patch that enables you to adjust the clock settings in your windows its way more stable and works sooooo much better, then just go up a little at a time not all at once and youll find a stable point yo should do it slowly over 2 or 3 days to make sure what ever setting you have it on is STABLE STABLE. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif i know cause iv done it on many cards and cpu i just love to overclock http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

good luck ill keep tabs if you still need more info/help.
