anyone remember the old Battlestar Galactica?
(I watched reruns when I was in Germany in '92)
well it appears that Sci-Fi channel decided to "reimagine" the series, but to me it looks like they just fucked it up.

I mean, they transgendered Starbuck and Boomer,
cylons looks like humans now,
cylons were created by humans,
people from 12 colonies dress waaayyy to Earth-like (suits and ties? did wardrobe get their material at JC Penny?),
Baltar sleeps with female cylon (What the fuck? WHAT THE FUCK?),
Galactica mythology is gone


It seems to me that the new Galactica "borrows" from The Matrix, Terminator, Wing Commander, Space: Above and Beyond, and just about every other sci-fi, except the original series.

that show might be good and new for that time, but it's the 21st century now, let them mkae changes, let them make it so that it's not the same as the first one, cause face it, the first one sucks ass compared to todays shows. in fact, any show airing on sci-fi sucks ass. all sci-fi shows airing right now suck large hairy dun.

Only thing I like about the Sci - Fi Channel is when they play Mystery Science Theater 3000 on Saturday mornings...besides that, it has it's fair share of shitty shows.

I think a question we all have to ask is: what good new shows are out there?

IMO Stargate and Enterprise are teh only "new" shows worth watching.

faec it, after they ended Seinfeld, TV just went progressively down the drain (at least you can still see Seinfeld reruns)

What about all those great American sitcoms based in a family situation, where the father is played by an unheard of/washed up, film actor.

Oh my Fucking god, I've seen at least SEVEN of those shows. It's terrible.

How long is laughing at Dad because he isn't like 'other' dads, and is a complete ass, going to last on TV?

Damon Wayans and John Ritter for start. If its something new it can only be better and wash away this damned reality tv crazed that has North America brainwashed

Yeah its almost like a credencial to get on a sitcom these days. Seinfeld was the last good sitcom that you could always get a laugh off of. As long as this show isnt reality tv it will gain a audience.

I'm talking about just about everything else that's on the networks,
the only major network shows I watch are Seinfeld and Enterprise
