http://www.abspc.com
abs has been around since the 80's in computers and makes very good and very cheap computers and since their company is small you the customer actually matter to them. i am happy with their service and am proud to be their paid spokesman. abs pc brings the family back into the computer business, and it all starts with our customers.

Dell is great imo. the only problem is they are pretty expensive compared to the others, but its worth it.

Star85 07-25-2003 07:25 AM

I just bought a big one 2 nights ago for $2400.....

3.06Ghz
1024MB RAM
Radeon 9800 Video Card (not pro)
17" Flat Panel monitor (needed it to fit for college)

Of course you add some of the other crap. i know some people will say it sucks just because we are a bunch of men (or boys) and everyone has to be better than everyone. oOo: biggrin:

Go to your local Microcenter and build your own.

Akuma 07-25-2003 08:43 AM

http://www.alienware.com is great if you have money.

I agree with the others, build your own.

Bazooka_Joe 07-25-2003 09:35 AM

For gaming, Alienware and Falcon Northwest are the top of the heap, but that's also what your paying for, top price.

Dell, Gateway, and Compaq all make good PCs.

You would be better off building your own, but the companies above offer good warantees if anything should go wrong with your system.

Gonzo 07-25-2003 08:50 PM

build your own thats your best bet

Arkan 07-27-2003 11:05 PM

Yeah, do what the others are telling you...build your own. I'm about to build a new system for myself. I'm going for the Intel P4 this time around because of the 800 FSB. I think i'll get a new server tower and give my old one to my girl. She'll get lost in the old server tower but if she has needs to expand, she'll have plenty of room.
