PhotoShop 7 won't let me save the alpha channel...
 

...when saving in .tga format. When I click on "Save as" and then targa format, it does this:

There's no problem saving the alpha channel in PDF format.

just remove the "copy"..

What do you mean, "remove the copy" ?

He meant the Filename... You want to save it as Stopwatchhand Copy.tga <- Remove the copy that comes before .tga biggrin: Hope it hwelps :D But man O_o i can save it as a copy though ... Strange ed: happy: eek:

It's probably because you have a PSD or jpg with the same name in the same folder. Try saving it to another folder.

I appreciate your help, but I have found the solution myself and it was a bit different than what you suggested. Apparently, the standard Ps7 can't save the alpha channel in a .tga format because of an error in the targa plug-in that makes it save the transparency instead. The solution was a fixed plug-in available from adobe.com. Problem solved happy:
