Im downloadin the demo for that now...do I need a joystick for it to be fun?

i find bf1942 very very boring now that i cant fly with my joystick. damn my mouse sucks for flying. for some reason most peoples wingman extream joystick stopped working with windows xp service pack one. anyone else have this joystick & got it working?

Try Hunt for the Red Baron. It's WWI and semi-realistic fun still pretty fun.

Unless fileplanet changed the demo, that demo has single player too(unless your talking about that it is online too, People don't like ubi.coms game connector so they use hyper lobby insted)

word of warning,

if you get the demo,
you better have money to get the full game shortly thereafter, it's that good

If you get Forgotten Battles (standalone expansion) there are 80 flyable and many more AI controlled planes.

the original IL-2 has 31 flyable planes and over 40 AI planes
IL-2 has Soviet, German, and American (lend lease only) planes

FB has Soviet, German, Finnish, and American planes (both lend lease and actual US)


EDIT: I think now you can buy both IL-2 and Forgotten Battles in one pack for less, but if you had to choose I would recommend FB.
