..this may seem a weird thread but older generations(60+,on the whole) only tend to do boring things like knitting, card games and ballroom dancing in their spare time to attempt to stimulate the mind (which slowly but surely degrades over time due to lack of activity and new stimuli). just imagine our new digital gaming generation in many years time, now if games don't stimulate your brain than i am a monkeys uncle. our brains would last longer!! proven fact!
now the only reason i'd play cards or crappy board games when i'm ancient is if they were on Mars alongside a newly discovered supermodel species who can only survive on sex.
so if we're all lucky enough to be able to retire or grow really old we can certainly look forward to a minimum of 30 years gaming heaven. what do u think of that....

My mother is 60 and has been playing the donkey kong country games since they came out. She is kind of bummed out that there isnt a DKC for the game cube yet.
Im 31, I dont ever see myself not being a gamer. I just hope when im near 60 they have "Viagra Online:Shlongs revenge!".

I'm 54 and I enjoy this.. My son 13 steered me to the first-person shooters with DOOM and I've been playing ever since. I'll have to admit I don't have the muscle-switch to master the keyboard combinations to master the "circle of death" sequences but enjoy the hiding to ambush somebody before I'm crushed.

when did these forums turn into a senior citizens home? no offense guys.

This thought has passed through my skull a couple of times, I will be retiring around 2043 and im drooling at the thought of what technology is going to be around then. Due to the fact that my body will be going to shit, i'll have the pleasure of escaping to the gaming world with my 900 terahtz PC, fully 3D VR goggles and a force feedback body suit.

Force-feeback? Nah - throw in the VR with the optional nerve-induction kit to add to the immersion. A sharp pain to the area where you were shot in your favorite VR-FPS should be more than enough incentive against careless play.

I'm 31, and I've been there since the beginning of computer gaming. Every year it gets better and better.

I'm 41 and I love playing "certain" games. I started because my kids needed company when they played Playstation. I have to admit that my kids beat me almost every time in a fps game, but I don’t care. I’m having fun no matter if I win or lose.

By the way, If I want to demonstrate my skills, I can play Falcon 4 or IL2.

I have just turned 41 and am loving this game! I haven't been a big game head....but this one is changing that!

The only thing that bothers me is that all the 16 year olds run, shoot & scoot like they have 8 fingers on each hand!....
but I think I will handle it!

Remember: it's always fun until someone get's hurt!
