how do i make server semi-private

We just built a server, and would like to keep it open to the net during the week. But somewtimes, other clans come on, and have majority. So when the operator of the server is not at home, we sometimes find the problem of other clans actually booting our clan members on our server. Is there a way to make it so that only our members can vote, like a password or something? Or, that we can make it so that our clan members do not ever get booted. I realize we can turn off
vote module, but is there another way?

Thanks, (LIB)_ Hairy Prvt. Parts.

You could download the RUNNER program for you game (Allied Assault or Spearhead). It lets you easily configure your server including the private password. You can even configure how many private slots vrs public slots are open. This way the people with the password will alwas get into your server as they will bumb a client without the password. Go over to mohadmin.com to find the RUNNER program for your game.

Thank you John, that is a start, but does that program have a setting that would only allow the privates to vote or kick other clients? We are going to check it out. Thanks again, (LIB)_Hairy Prvt. Parts.

No anyone will be able to vote, and all votes are equal. If you give your clan members the rcon password they would be able to kick people. IMO you shouldn't allow voting on your server. I find it disruptive to have a vote called every 5 min.
