lost reliable commands?
 

I occasionally get disconnected from servers and the console says the following:

moola lost reliable commands
moola disconnected

Any ideas what is causing it?

I guess this is an unusual one then :) Would it be possible for a dodgy admin (or anyone else) to force a crash/disconnect command then?

I havn't ever seen a message like that, not even when the server admin kicked me. What were you doing on the server at the time?

there is a cvar error that will start a flood of error mesages ..sometimes reseting your cvars will fix this problem ..

in spearhead loading a custom map into mainta will cause it or some weapon mods cause it ..

so pull aney weapon mods/maps sound mods from mainta ..reset your cvars and try again ..

if your running mohaa just reset your cvars and try

again ..this may not fix it ..but it does fix allot of problems

“n00b alert” ...reset cvars? :) I should have explained that this only happens occasionally (once every 2 or 3 hours) and is also very random. When I tried a clean install it still did it... no custom maps/mods etc. I also have Spearhead installed and it happens with that too. I now have numerous custom maps added to my main directory and if anything it seems to happen a little less than it used to.

I don’t get a flood of messages... although it seems to happen in the middle of, or after fire fights???

just open your console (hit the ` key) ..and type reset cvar

that should do the trick

Thanks m8... should I do this regularly... every time I connect to a game for instance?

once in a wile its a good idea ..but remember it will reset some of your key settings so depending on how you have your keybord maped it can get to be a pain in the a$$
