Looking for a tool
 

hi

i am looking for a tool to put on my desktop, i want the tool to do this.
i copy the ip of a game from a chat in to the program and click connect and maybe put the password in as well.
and then i tell it i want mohaa or spearhead and then click join, it then loads up the game for me and it start to connect to the server.

i want such a tool because i am getting fed up of having to write ips down on bits of paper.

I don't know of any tool that will do that but this will work.

Make a copy of your MOHAA icon then right click on it. Double-click on properties and in the target field scroll over to the end and add +set cl_playintro 0 +connect nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn:12203
Rename the icon for the server.

Now when you double-click on the icon your game will start without the intro and connect to the IP address.

To add a password add "+password AaBbCcDd" without the quotes, after the playintro 0, and before the +connect

Use the all seeing eye http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/doc.html paste the ip in the add server section for mohaa and then join.

yea i have an ip address on every piece of paper near my desk, including cd covers, my electric bill, game covers ect.

zoner is right ASE is the way to go ..favorites lists ..server settings ..even a remote console and paswords ..

ASE ..dont play spearhead without it ..

Personally, I don't use ASE. I connect using my desktop shortcut icon, actually. I only play on AAN's server, so I just slapped the connect command into the shortcut's path.

there is also a game launcher program u can use to make shortcuts to servers in mohaa. http://www.serverspy.net/site/gamelauncher/ i have a shortcut to my clans server on desktop its nice but i dont think u can pre enter a password with this.

Bingo, ASE does about the closest to what you are looking for.

You can add a server, from either a list of public MOH servers, or a private one, by typing the IP address. You can then store it in a favorites folder, so you can connect later. Along with this, you can cofigure certian aspects before you join the game, such as your Username in the game, a password to join the server, plus in addition, it will copy the IP address of the server to your clipboard, so if you need to join a game manually, you can just press CTRL V in the game to paste it in.
