How to use FRAPS?
 

ok, How do i use fraps and make a movie of me, i have it all but need to know i run it and see this black box and yellow numbers in screen, but How could i see my movie i made?

FRAPS can only record games. You can't view it with FRAPS either u need something like WMP.

Go to the FRAPS website and read the FAQS. They give all the advice you need.

fraps makes a directory on your cdrive ..it copys the avi's into there ...

but to play them you have to have a newer ver of codec ..so make sure your player is updated

or just convert them to mpg1's and thay are viewable (and much smaller)

i can use fraps fine.. but when i record my fps goes to 3.2 so.. i cant record anything decent.. anyone know how to fix? well annoying mwah:

you have to lower your resolution to 640x480 and your graphic settings to low

Two things: Is the setting at 30FPS in FRAPS?

And do you have a 7200RPM Hard Drive or faster?

If the answer is no to either of the above then you need to change it. FRAPS runs terribly on 5400RPM drives.

Fraps requires a fair bit to run it. The newer version of fraps can record @ 1024x768 with sound. Makes for pretty damn big vids @ 25fps, but if you have the PC to back it up then they'll look great.

I use it to record wallhackers and cheaters, then release the compilation vids.

I had some really nice compression software that turned the vid's into Divx Format but i can't seem to find it again? Anyone know where i can get something similar?

i forgot wich server i was on i got booted for having fraps running it said modifications/cheats installed
