explorer.exe
Okay, so I notice that something is seriously eating my RAM. I went into processes, everything is normal, except the explorer.exe (not iexplore.exe) process is hogging like 36MB of RAM constant. It doesn't make any sense to me at all, but it's really slowing my computer down, especially when I'm gaming. Any ideas?

I just downloaded Opera.. never used anything but IE before. I reccommend that everyone download this browser, because it owns.

Explorer.exe is the Win32 based portion of your OS that displays EVERYTHING (desktop, folders, etc) In XP / 2000, if you End Task it, everything except your wallpaper will disappear, and then they will reappear again within 30 seconds. Just let it run.

Yeah.. I know what it is. My problem is that I've never had an issue with it using this much RAM before. Sometimes I look and it's all the way up to 44MB. My old average was 22-23MB. |
