Oh boy, do I have some suggestions for you!

I love Irish music...it's in my blood. Growing up in Newfoundland, you get to know traditional Irish tunes at a VERY young age.

Here're some great irish bands to check out:

- The Irish Rovers: OLD school irish tunes
- Stan Rogers: He's a legend
- The Irish Descendants: Great Nfld band
- The Fables: Ditto.
- Shanneyganock: Another Nfld band....great stuff
- The Sons of Erin: See above.
- The Government Rams: See above.
- The Chieftains: Classic
- Great Big Sea: They do some traditional arrangments as well as their own stuff
- The Pogues: You've heard of the Pogues, right?

That should get you started. biggrin:
