error applying patch?!
 

Hi there! I started playing MOHAA a while ago and am trying to play online now. I have the Dutch version. Every attempt I make to play online results in a "server time-out". So, in the chatbox someone told me to install the correct patch. I downloaded the new V1.11 Dutch patch and installed it, but got an error message:

- Dutch version of MOHAA not found installed on your system

But... it is? So, I downloaded the US/UK 1.11 patch. Same message (US version not found).
I installed the game out of the box, so I think I probably have to install the V1.10 patch first??? But.... I can only find a US version of that patch...?? Or is that a generic patch (don't think so, it says "only for US version". Didn't try to install that though...

*sigh* Someone an idea maybe, what I have to do to get online? I mean, hey, half the world is playing this BRILLIANT game online, so why not ME??!!!

I suggest that you reinstall the game. I've never gotten that message, but then again i don't have the Dutch version of that game.....soo.....i have no clue what the errors of that game might be. You might try going into the install history and deleting the folder with mohaa in it then try reinstalling it again.

Thanks. I did reinstall everything, and its ok now. Patch installed etc.

Have to do another fresh install i'm afraid... because i can't play my old saved games again under 1.11...

hiya im having the same problem, i just brought the new dulux version of the game and its the UK version, and when i try and install the patch it says that the UK/US version is not installed, which it is??? what can i do??

When you install the 1.11 version patch, it TELLS YOU (if you are looking) that your saved games might not work after installation.

It pays to read everything on the screen and not just press CONTINUE.

There is a key within the registry that needs to be changed in order to be able to install the patch mentioned correctly. you can use regedit to get to the registry. The bad news - I have forgotten what the value is or what it needs to be changed to !! The value 233 comes to mind but i cant be certain. the key that you need to change reads something like Medal of Honor version = *** (where *** is the number that needs to be changed.)
Sorry if this is extremely vague but it worked for me after I found this workaround off the internet, at least its a place to start

Seeing as though the guy who had the original problem hasn't posted since Oct 2, we can assume he got it working or flung the game out the window. Either way, this is a dead topic.
