How can I work with the .dds format
I have made posterpaks for Spearhead with no problem, simply renaming the image files with the .dds extension.
When I try this with Breakthrough, it does not work. I have installed Directx 9, but cannot find an editor that will either convert or modify .dds files. Can anyone help? ~Snybches |
Mpowell1944 gave me a utility for Photoshop that enabled one to save files as .dds, however, unfortunately, i lost it. If you can get in contact with him, that could be your answer. (I have a sneaking suspicion he goes by the pseudonym of just 1944 nowadays, but i could be wrong)
Can anyone confirm/deny that? |
CoD also uses the .dds format for all skins in the game.
There is a special plugin available for it, but i dont know the link by heart.. Ill get back in 10 mins when ive found the link for ya, ok? :EDIT: [url:15fd9]http://developer.nvidia.com/object/ps_texture_compression_plugin.html[/url:15fd9] :EDIT: All yer plugin needs is in that link..
