Anyone seen "Cube" or "Hypercube: Cube 2"?

These are pretty cool movies. The premise: imagine waking up inside a 14X14X14" room, a cube, with 6 doors. Once on each wall, ceiling and floor, which lead to the next cube. Some of the cubes have traps and whatnot. You have no idea how you got there, or why, but obviously you want to get out.

Cube is mathematical, philosophical, physics and quantium mechanics all rolled into one. The films are not really that well done, in terms of acting and such, since they had a tight budget, $365,000 Canadian, but the premise and ideas the films gice off are great. Films don't need millions of dollars to get their point across and still be really good.I recommend watching this film. It makes you think, and opens your mind.

They're making a third cube as well, which is supposed to answer all the questions left by the first two cube films...which are a lot, trust me.

I saw Cube the same week I had my wisdom teeth removed. That was a
very good movie! Memorable quote: "This room is green: I like the blue
rooms!" That lovable retard surprised me when he walked into the light...

Hypercube was also pretty damn cool but I really wanted to know more
about it, seeing the end and stuff: government research ? Tihihi, lovely
stuff. When is Cubed (I'm assuming they'll call the third cubed...) coming
out ?

i like movies like this....have you ever seen the 13th floor? with gretchen mol (what a smokin little piece) and i think ron livingston (could be wrong) is in it. its really cool sci fi movie.


side note: lol i like how they stole the matrix-like falling glyphs in the cube preview. that wasnt too obvious oOo:

The thirteenth Floor is one of my favorite movies. I like it a tad bit more
than the Matrix. They both have their charm, but in the end, 13TH takes
the cake...

I knew this was a movie for Solidus. I just knew it.

Both films leave so much to the imagination, and therefore so many questions unanswered, but their so cool to watch.

Uncubed has all the trailers. Check out the first Cube trailer. The first film was better than the second in my opinion. It involved more problem solving by the group, and I felt they had to really work to try to get out, rather than Hypercube. But Hypercube had some really cool stuff in it.

I've seen both, cube has more gore but I like hypercube better because of the story.

Is Cube 2 the one where they are stuck in a cube for the entire movie and one guy whos crazy and kills everyone? If thats the movie i'm tihnking of, I heard it sucked.

Well, that sort of describes both Cube films in a way.

Their not really "stuck" inside one cube, but 17,000 cubes at all together make one gigantic cube. They are free to leave, if they can figure out how to.
