MOHAA Versions - Help Please
 

Hi there,

A friend of mine is have a problem playing MOHAA multiplayer as his version seems to be very different from everyones elses! It is a pukka bought from the shop CD, he hasnt NoCD'd and its not been hacked at all before anyone asks :)

I've had a look at the properties of the file MOHAA.EXE on both mine and his machine.

My Friend
Byte Size : 2869949
Properites Version : 1.2.4.190

Me
Byte Size : 2511445
Properties Version : 1.0.0.1

Now interestingly if I apply the 1.11 patch to my version it works fine. However, if he attempts to patch it fails with an error but still looks like the patch is installed. It runs fine for both of us and we both end up with the following information:

After Patch
Bytesize : 2531925
Properties Version : 1.2.1.280

However, he still can't connect to the servers as he still gets an error saying the server is running an older version!!

Any ideas ??? What file size is everyone elses MOHAA.exe - similar to mine or his ??

Did both of you buy the game?

Yep , both games were shop bought and neither have been modified or hacked in any way.

Odd, man. I'll Move it to Tech Questions...might get some help there.

Is that patch installing in the right directory? Did he mod his game directly before he patched it? Try downloading the patch from a different site, maybe the patch is corrupted.

i had the same problem, so i installed a french patch and it worked oOo:

yea good point, your MOHAA game has to be the same as your patch, in region that is. If you have a french versian, dont try and install the uk/us patch, it wont work..

Hmm, I'll check with him.

His brother bought him the game, maybe his brother was in France when he bought it - LOL.

Thanks for the info - gonna suggest he apply language specific patches and see if any of them work!
