I thought that is was going to be all out sniper, but it's not bad. It's actually fun still, with snipers. What are your thoughts?

Hmmmm...don't know
...don't have MOHAA yet... |
I don't think they're that bad at all. They're extremely easy to avoid while running up the beach as long as you're not retarded. And as soon as you get past the shingle and into the base, they can't touch you. The axis probably end up getting sniped a lot more than the allies.
|
Snipers don't bother me one bit - after killing all the clowns in the bunkers, I come out and kill all the snipers hiding behind the rocks, or in the landing craft. I love it, beacause they never see you. Easy to get three or four in one clip.
They only stop people from using the MGs in the bunkers, nothing else. And I think using those MGs is boring anyway. |
Realistically, it sucks. It's just as bad as DoD's plagued Omaha map that is just corrupted with snipers. And since the distance from the bunkers to the beach are even further away, this gives players the idea to use the sniper rifle EVEN MORE.
Thank god the run from the beach to the shingle is short, otherwise it'd be a pathetic sniper fest. If someone from 2015 is reading, PLEASE add cvars for disabling/limiting weapons for each team, or just placing an option in the create multiplayer server menu that lets you restrict the number of each particular gun that can be used on each team. ------------------ "Look, I washed for suppa!" http://www.multimania.com/triau/images/spr23.jpg |
it's not that bad actually.... all you need is a full team co-operation, make a diversion while others running like hell to to the shingle and that's it! they're toast!
haha! http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/tongue.gif |
Speaking of which, blowing up the shingle is a little too easy. Just run up and touch something? Come on..
There should be a shingle inside a boat or somewhere near the shoreline, and you have to run and get it and then take it to a certain part of the shingle. At least make it challenging it for them. Right now it's like a stroll through the beach for Christ's sake. ------------------ We're not here to do the right thing, we're here to follow fuckin' orders. http://www.multimania.com/triau/images/spr23.jpg |

I think he means put bangalores in a boat or elsewhere on the beach. Get bangalores, blow up shingle.
I haven't played it yet, my copy arrives today. Is it an instant explosion? or is there a brief period of time before it blows. Also - are there mounted MGs in the bunker(s)? |
yeah! but then again when the bangalores dropped in the middle of the beach no one will pick them up since they are too selfish to worry about their own life! http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/tongue.gif
there's a lot of times i played cs my teammate don't want to pick the c4 and wander somewhere else just to increase their own frag... stupid http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/tongue.gif |
i agree, it doesn't seem that bad....but I was playing axis.
