Using Skins ???
Is there a way for me to use my skins on my non dedicated server so that the people i am playing with see me correctly and not as the default if they don't have the skin on there computer??

no there is no way.....they must have skin to see it.....

IN ORDER FOR THE OTHER PLAYERS TO SEE YOUR SKIN THEY MUST HAVE THAT SKIN ALSO.....THATS WHY THEY SEE YOU AS A DEFAULT SKIN......
