Day of Defeat
 

Well i just reinstalled HL and updated it to version 1.1.1.0 or whatever then updated it to 1.1.2.0 i think. I installed version 1.0 of day of defeat and alot of the servers i try to join, the screen turns black and then it goes right to my desktop. What the hell is the problem. This is pissing me off so much.

never played day of defeat, is it like moh or is it better? what is good about the game and what are its faults?

DoD is probably one of the best WWII games I've ever played. It's very realistic, and worth a try for anyone. The only downside I can think of is the graphics are outdated, but not bad at all. And the fact that players are non-passable. Every once in awhile, you'll get a smacktard come in and block a doorway thats essencial for people who respawn.

Usually when I join a steam required server it doesn't kick me to my desktop, it just says I am unable to join it.

Download steam, and it should fix your problem.

As for DoD being better then MOH, Hell yeah! Only down side to DoD is the graphics, but they arn't so bad once you get use to them. Also, Cheaters on DoD are very easy to spot.
