Maybe I'm doing something wrong here, but I keep getting lock ups. The problem starts whenever I click on anything in the start menu. When I click on something, the game attempts to access the internet even when I select the credits. The game minimizes and my dial up connection pops up. When I cancel it and maximize the game again, it locks up. Could someone please help me.

I think its like the demo - you have to let it access the net. Don't cancel the dialup and let it run its course. Once it does, it should play fine. If you have Zone alarm, IMMEDIATELY after you hit the start button to get a game going, alt-tab out and allow it to access the net. Should work then - it did for me

I'm having the same problem, the game drops to desktop and attempts to go online whenever attempting to start a new game or load a saved game.Letting it continue does nothing besides connecting to the web, leaving the game minimized in the taskbar, and if that's not bad enough, maximizing the game brings the game back up, but leaves your mouse pointer in desktop mode, forcing you to reset the computer. This is happening on a fresh install of w98,but was also present on a semi cluttered install of me,And,is also happening on a friends pc.Anyone have a clue as to what could be the problem?

Don't tell me the full version is doing that, fucking EA!

Alreet you guys need to go into Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet Options click on the connections tab and check that 'Never dial a connection' is selected. If your running XP do the same but start up IE again and it will give you a connection box, check that 'Do not ask me this until next logon' is selected, click cancel, then go play.

That fix has worked for everyone with the demo, so if it doesn't work for you, you are doing something wrong.

I would love to see an answer from EA why the game does that. http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif When the SP demo first came out, this problem was the most rampant.

hahaha i know how to stop this game even trying to dial in. wanna know?

go to your IE5/6, go to tools, internet options, connections tab, then select 'never dial a conenction'.

done. It worked for me, the game after that never tried that shit again. fucking unbelivable that it even tries in the first place. fuck you EA.
