28,000 dead in Iran earthquake
Alot of people died in a single earthquake in Iran. Why so many?

I'm guessing the city of Bam is heavily populated. When you mix a dense population with a major earthquake, the death toll can be nothing short of devastating.
28,000 people is an unbelieveable loss. annoy: |
and you have no building codes. They throw up a hut/bldg in no time and they are not safe
|
Crazy. They estimate up to 50,000 dead.

It's hard to realistically conceive just how many people that is. I find the most effective way is to think of a sporting event with a similar amount of people for reference. Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i think that part of the world is prone to earthquakes and such, since they usually have a devastating earthquake or two in Turkey annually, or thereabouts, which isn't too far off. |
Thats my town 2x over......... It is really quite a hard thought. Yet it seems the world beleive's there is other news more important. annoy:

That is sad news. I heard the loser country called the USA sent millions in ade to them, even though they may be hiding Bin Ladan.

Its like a statement. All these countries hate the USA, but we give them aid because how nice and pc we are. Iran don't deserve shit, they wouldn't and didn't give us aid when we had our natural disasters.
In fact has any country helped us like that? With in the last 50 years. Seems like we help every damn country with some kind of aid. when they need it. But them same countries rip on us. Kind of sad isn't it. Short damn memories. |
