Did you try to reinstal, it might sound as a lame fix but a friend of mine had a Zip problem alsi and he fixed it by reinstaling.

when i choose in the full game, mission 1 and select the difficulty i return to windows and there i get the following message:

Tried to read from a zip file maps/briefing/briefing1.min that was not open

i've no problems with te traing.

You had no errors during install?

I would try to re-install the game. See if that fixes the problem.
