For the past week it has been -20 to -30 centigrade here in Calgary. That's without the windchill. When I go to school, I park my car about a 5 minute walk from the entrance tot eh building I need to go to, and I love to watch the people who don't put a toque on because they don't want to mess their hair up. Hmmm...frostbite or nice lookin hair. Hard to decide.

wow - its no where near that cold in the uk!
I was cycling to college and was pretty damn warm! tho the wind was stopping me from getting over 1mph this morning -it was like gail force. |
can you guys please specify what scale you are using,
I automatically assume people with Canada or Europe in their location use Celsius and Americans use Fahrenheit, right? |
Celcius = Centigrade
Anders Celsius (1701–1744), a Swedish astronomer, invented the thermometer with a scale of 100 degrees from freezing to boiling of water, but English called it a centigrade thermometer until in 1948 an international convention decided to honor Celsius by giving it his name. Conventional notation for such temperatures remained unchanged: it is still 10°C or 22°C for centigrade or Celsius; both are Standard. So yeah, were all talking in celsius. Pretty much everyone in Europe and everyone in Canada uses celsius. |
I know celsius pretty well, I was just verifying what everyone used
|
Ya, Celsius here.
So, -34C = -29.2F Any way you slice it, it's still fucking cold. |
