Alliedassault - Snipers on beach suck!!

Here is what I posted on AA.Nets message board about the same subject...

I can see we are about to get alot of "this weapon should be banned from this-and-that map". I have no problem with snipers. Yes, the allies have a better advantage with them(and yes, it is fun being an allied sniper), but I don't get killed by them much when I play axis. I am usually down at the bottom with an smg or running the halls with a shotty or defending the guns. Keep away from the exposed areas and if in the bunkers, be smart with what you do. Yes, you will need to be a good sniper if your on the axis side.

Also, allied snipers cannot make it into the bunker, so they cannot win the battle...they can only rack up kills outside. Sniper rifles are horrible one on one weapons and will almost always die inside the bunker(where faced with multiple machine guns and shottys). They can only be used as support to help get the machine gunners and shottys into the bunker. This ultimately means that a majority sniper team(or even one with alot of snipers on it) will lose big time. I have also noticed that rocket usage is really low in this map. They are so ineffective on it.

I have to say I have played Omaha now for two days and it is the multi map I have played the most(and love the most). I have finally started to get some decent strats together for it. The big key to the map is teamwork. I have done well on my own, but can see where a team working together will do way better. That is especially true for the allies.

And to add to this...it is completely untrue that axis have no chance...I have seen victory on the axis team plenty of times...and I can say that the majority of people getting to the guns did not have sniper rifles...
