Men of Valor: Vietnam

For those of you interested in Beta testing games, here is something you might be interested in:

MOVV.COM is going to be awarded several alpha and beta testing slots for our continued coverage of MOV:V during its down time. These slots will be awarded to registered, active members of the forum once we receive the request from Sierra to provide a mailing list.

The first round of tests will be on the Xbox.

The second round will come much later this year, and will be for the PC version. Same as above applies.

Also, we've installed a mod that displays whether a user is active/inactive and actively posting members will - in addition to being qualified for the above testing - have a chance to be one of several to win a free copy of the game (the same as sold in stores).

So, just a heads up. You can reach the site here: http://www.movv.com

And please pardon the lack of a header image, we've just redesigned and everything will be set within a week. At that point, Sierra will be releasing to MOVV.COM exclusive screenshots as well as the first interview with the dev team since July 29th, 2003.

EDIT:: Sorry, just got some clarification. The testing slots will only be for Beta. The alpha version (or preview build) is being sent to myself only so that MOVV.COM can do a preview of the game for the site. Sorry about the confusion.

I was on the verge of it, and then out of nowhere Amy Farris (Senior PR Rep for Sierra) e-mailed me. The site is, however, starting out fresh. We just had too many inactive users and outdated posts. And just FYI in case you didn't catch it in the first post, you do have to be an active poster in the forums to qualify once we're awarded alpha/beta slots.

why have you wasted the halflifetwo.com url to go to movv.com?

and also it should have movv.com heading and shit, not noctis online, it avades the subject of the site.

Drew 01-31-2004 06:30 PM

Redoing the header right now to be movv.com.

I had to come up with something for halflifetwo.com so that I don't have people on my back about cybersquatting.

Not real sure wtf to do with the site, there are already too many established HL sites and I haven't found anyone to buy/develop it yet. Which is pretty sad since I was only going to sell it for $500 and the damn thing was appraised at over $11,000

how can anyone be active on a forum that was dead (last time i checked)

Drew 01-31-2004 06:31 PM

Active users make it not dead, n'est pas? The database was purged and the site is starting over.

Might be a reason for me to visit...

I hate movv. No offense, you send me this bogus password by email and then it wont work. It's like, "Hi, Proteus. You can activate your blablablablablabla your password is feiaoherjkneiraefl;ihabvaernira. This email will delete itself in 23 seconds."

I swear that's how it happened.
