Alright, i've been sick for almost a week and Thrusday I had to work, so at about 9:30 AM I call in sick, I called early so they would have enough time to find someone, so at about 5:30 my manager Mary calls me and asks me what's wrong I tell her nasty cold and my throat is hurting alot, she then tells me that I sound fine(which pissed me off)So she asks me how long i've been with the company and I tell her since late setpember and she tells me "Cale, youve called in sick once in September, once late October, and now, on a yearly calendar, thats three times, and thats to many, so when you come in Saturday(today) for your 10 AM shift, you'll meet with the store manager to discuss this! hellfire:

this is bullshit! i'll post the outcome of the meeting when I get home.

nasty - kick the shit out of the store manager - and say i quit b4 u get fired.

Then get charge....um...no, but my manager walks around like he has a stick up his ass.

ive been with my Timmy's for 2 years. Never called in sick once. I sorta tough things out. But meh she has no buisness in your siockness like she just did. oOo:

17, and I work at Loblaws, I went in and there was no meeting she just talked to me and she doesn't believe i'm sick, dumb bitch.

I dont know how your company or countrys' labor laws are...but if it were over here you can do a variety of things. First tell her you dont give a shit whether she thinks you are sick or not, that is what sick time is for. Second, you can say this is the first time this year i have called in sick, so oct and nov dont count and even if they did, who gives a shit, its only been 3 times. instead of trying to defend yourself from calling in sick, go on the offensive. If you let management know early on that you wont put up with this kind of shit, chances are they wont fuck with you, even if you do something wrong. Ive gone through this shit before at my old job. Find out what their attendance/discipline policies are and use them.
