Anyone live in Florida? Looking for a nice vacation spot...

Me and my family are heading to Florida to hit the beach for Spring vacation. First off, does anyone live in Southern FL, like Fort Lauderdale? I hear they have NICE blue water there... is that true??

Anyone know of any nice beaches with clear blue water... ? When I went to the beaches in Georgia and North Carolina they were dirty and you couldn't see anything... I hear there are beaches in FL with clear water...

Thanks.

Everything is nice.

I live in Tampa, Florida .. and do get to go around the whole state every once in a while. And let me tell you, everything is nice, the best beaches, land, ladies, ... weather is questionable ... the weather is very unpredictable around winter.

Come to South Florida/Miami

And get your ass to South Beach/Miami Beach, it's beautiful...especially at night!!

Best beach, and the atmosphere is beautiful.

Ok, basicly all of the beaches in florida are 100x better then anything in georgia and the carolinas....the atlantic sucks. Best beaches are on the gulf coast....basicly anything from panama down to the keys is beautiful beaches. Fort lauderdale and miami all have great beaches but they are always crowded with tourists, closer to tampa where i live...sarasota, clearwater, and even st pete beach near treasure island are great. But hands down the best beaches in the state are in the keys...theres no competetion, if u can make it to marathon key or key west...you wont regret it.

Destin and Pensacola both had excellent clear, blue water when I went. The beaches were great....give one a shot.

It's going to be a twenty six hour drive I imagine... we'll most likely go to Ft. Lauderdale, Miami Beach and TRY to see Key West. I know Key West is where they have SERE training, right?

Can't wait to go because I want to go snorklin'... do you guys have problems with sharks down in Florida? lol

Don't come here. I'll fucking shat my pants if I see another fucker doing 35 in a 50 gazing at the fact that we have palm tree's!

I dunno, I'd say Ft Lauderdale is nice that's where the party place is but I don't know about a family destination. Around me ain't so bad I guess... Ft Myers beach has it's fun...

Not to derail your thread or anything but kinda on topic. I'm flying to Miami on saturday and staying on south beach. Any spots or hang outs that I should check out?
