Hi im trying to make a server online for me and my friends to play on but it dose'nt seem to be coming up on the list of servers wot do i need to do.

More detail is needed. What type of internet connection do you have? Are you trying to setup a dedicated server or do you want to play also? Do you know your IP address?

Well im not a hundred percent sure on my ip address and i do want to play also.

When you setup the game make sure the dedicated server box IS NOT checked. Make sure you've entered your servers name and start the game up. If you knew your IP address your friends could connect to the game that way.

The thing is ive been doing that and my server name is not set up on the list of servers

Your Gamespy box is checked right. Remember it can take 15 min to show up on Gamespy that's why I asked about the IP address.

Ok ive done that and it kicked me out of the game im not sure if its ment to do that lol

Click on [url=http://www.wtv-zone.com/iceman/ipcheck.html:723fb]this[/url:723fb] and it will tell you what your IP address is. Give your buddies the address and they can connect to your game. This is the best way as you don't have to wait for the Gamespy servers to update.

Well it now says when connecting to the server (server conection timed out)

Start the game
Click on the MULTIPLAYER door
Click on START GAME
Choose a game type
Now your at the Start Game Menu
...Do set Maxplayers to 8.
...Do set a score, or time limit, or both.
...Do set a Game Server Name.
...DO NOT set DEDICATED SERVER
Click on START GAME

Now call your buddies and have them try to join with Connect to IP Address. Stay on your computer, running around on the map, for at least twenty min.

check for firewalls aswell...

Oh so it will send me straight into the game and i just chill for 20 min

Lol ok i think it is time to quit making a server i have done everthing u say and still it will not work my friend has tryed to get in and everything, i don't won't to waist any more of ur time johnj and everyone else who has tryed to help me thanks. offtopic:
