Why do people say they joined AA.com in 1969? Is it some inside joke or is AA.com some hippie 60s cult? biggrin:

The 1969 join date is often regarded as the "vets" of AA. These are the guys who have been registered the longest.
But as with all the join dates and post counts, it really means nothing in terms of the charicter of the person in question.

There was some crash, and all members already registered it set their join date to December 31, 1969. They werent "Given" this. Its all a result of a fuck up of the server

Truth is, it has nothing to do with post count or being special. One day the forums messed up, php error, and it gave bunch of us that date.

Anyone registered 2 days before my join date got this...I came in right after.
