MOH:AA Demo recording "that works"

MOH:AA Demo recording "that works"

Found this over PMOH, not sure if already been posted. Please backup you original EXE file.

MOHAADemo v1.0

This is a patched MOHAA.EXE (Medal of Honor: Allied Assault v1.11 US) that lets you record and watch MOHAA Demos. It works like in other Q3 games:

*** RECORDING A DEMO ***
g_synchronousClients 1
record demoname

*** After you start recording a demo, set g_synchronousClients 0 ****

*** STOPPING RECORD ***
stoprecord

*** PLAYING A DEMO ***
playdemo demoname

Ok, than I have a few questions:

1. Where (on your harddrive) does the video get saved to? Do you get to choose?
2. What file type does it get saved as?
3. Does it lag up your computer?
4. Does it work for Call of Duty as well?

Thanks beer:

Works excellent :)

1. mohaa/main/demos
2. .dm3 extension
3. 0% lag
4. yes same thing

ooook. i did this and it looked like it worked. when i entered in the 1st command my model sorta....stood in a standing hunched position (if that makes any sense) and i followed everything else except i can't find where the demo was saved. also, does the recording play on things like WMP?

*HFE*QuadForce 06-13-2004 10:16 AM

never heard of the hunched thing... everyone i know whos tried it works perfect for them.. the files are saved in mohaa\main\demos folder .... you can only play them within mohaa. to play a demo back open mohaa and type playdemo demoname and the demo will play. if you want to record avi files to playback in wmp use fraps while watching the demo.

Works well, only weird thing is the weapon seems to go back from the screen a bit so you can;t really see all of it, also no "bobbing" when walking so its kinda like you;re sliding along.

That is because of the g_synchronousclients cvar. Also, if you are going to share your demos with anyone else, they must have the new .exe file or else the playdemo command will not work.

This is nice if you need to spectate suspicious players in your server for proof of any kind.
