 Comparing Shader Sizes

Is it possible to compare shader sizes?
I have a idea. Compare shader sizes of skins too see if someone is using chams. Im not sure where to start. I know C++, and im aight at scripting. Im looking to make this a project to stop chams, if anyone is interested in helping out in any way, please contact me on aim. Thanks, p!kAchu.[pokemon] rock: |

In a similar vein do stok pk3 files have a checksum so they can be compared?

I have heard from people this is not possible server side as it requires pk3 checking, then I guess we will have to do another client. But for now, start out small and only check shader sizes and prevent chams.

How does checking shader sizes prevent cheat skins? You'd have to disallow all custom pk3s and they could still substitute a cheat texture for the original.

not sure if you can call players HACKERS just cuz they use chams. using chams doesn't constitue hacking it makes'em cheaters, not hackers.

Pikachu, if they did change the stock texture then there would be a change in size [in the .pk3 because they could change quality and other junk]. You would have to compare the sizes of .pk3. They're already is a program for that. You're a little late. It's called Missionary. Completely anti cheat program. There are only about 80 servers that run Missionary but most of them are full. You are guarenteed not to see a cheater. I could hook you up with a link if you need one. |
