Looks like a good price compared to what listed at the other site I shop at.

http://www.infonec.com
http://www.pccanada.com
http://www.extreme-pc.ca

check for yourself

Merlin122 07-08-2004 05:13 PM

yes. that would be 50-60$ american. thats an excellent deal IMO.

fujimi7su 07-08-2004 06:25 PM

Deals not bad, but tigerdirect is not the best place to buy from, they send you ads all the time and their shipping is high. Plus, the refunds are hard to get.

Ive never really had problems with their service or products tho, just the prices...

anyways, looks good... But id stick w/ ATI biggrin: (9600xt currently)

Sergeant_Scrotum 07-08-2004 06:38 PM

ok so we have relised the price is good, now how about the card? is it any good? anyone else try one?

Short Hand 07-08-2004 06:44 PM

http://factorydirect.ca/cgi-bin/product_spec.pl/GF5612 only way i would go with a 5600 is if it were some insae price, like this. this is a normal verion of the card.

Sergeant_Scrotum 07-08-2004 06:48 PM

http://www.infonec.com - 235.00 ed:
http://www.pccanada.com dont sell it, but the 5200 is 139$
http://www.extreme-pc.ca -$146.30

my video card is refurbished and ive had it for almost 4 years, and it been over clocked 90 % of the time. 99 % of the product their is fine. + if your going to get a 5600 dont waste you money on an expensive one, either commit to a 9600xt or go cheapo like this is your best bet. + their is a warrenty on these refurbished products so if it does go bad switch it. hell if you got a 3 year warrenty and it expires in 2 and a half, they would prob give you a newer gen card. making all more the reason to buy refurbished.

Sergeant_Scrotum 07-08-2004 07:18 PM

hmm I like that. I think I will end up going with the refurbished one. & unfortunitly I cant really pick it up because their arent any stores near me (peterborough) nearest one is 45min away

Sergeant_Scrotum 07-08-2004 07:27 PM

hmm, i went trough & calculated how much it would be with shipping, it turns out that it will be $131.95

Now if I buy it brand new from the other place it comes to 122.63 with shipping & taxes, then once i throw in the $40 rebate it comes to a grand total of $82.63 ed:

Short Hand 07-08-2004 07:32 PM

biggrin: , their is one right besdie my house, actually i can see it almost form my bathroom window, so s&h no problem for me. Just make sure you get a good warrenty on your product. 3rd party card makers never put enough cooling on the danm cards, over heating constantly weaars down the cards life tremendously, part of my cardl iving so long and well is all the extra cooling i have on it.

Sergeant_Scrotum 07-08-2004 07:55 PM

it says it has a lifetime warrente from nvidia. & i cal always throw on a better fan if it runs to warm.

If you need a tweak and your budget is weak! It wouldnt be bad but its still pretty sad.
