Anti Flooding
Hello, I saw many servers in mohaa with no possibilty to flood in the chat.
So I just wanted to ask how can I do it on my own server? I have tried to type in the console : sv_floodprotect 1 flood_msgs <value> flood_persecond <value> flood_waitdelay <value> but it didn't work. Can you please help me? Thanks! |
rcon set sv_floodprotect 1
ENTER biggrin: |
I have tried it, doesnt work.

[quote:023fa]// Flood Protect
// Limits amount of text a player can typeset sv_floodprotect 1[/quote:023fa] taken from http://www.mohadmin.com/forum/showthrea ... #post18675 Sometimes I have to enter commands more than once through rcon to get them to go through.. Dono why, but I do.. You may also want to consider adding or setting it in the server.cfg if you have access to it.. After changing it you will need to run a quit on the server and let it restart itself if your provider runs that script.. |
but how can i get an access for the server.cfg file?
|
through ftp... should be in the main folder

|
yes i know but i dont understand why... never mind
dont i have to play with flood_msgs flood_persecond flood_waitdelay ? |
We got those in our server.cfg to but they are disabled with a // in front and only sv_floodprotect 1 is set and it works fine..
|
listen, i tried many times to do sv_floodprotect 1 and it didnt work at all. i tried also to change the flood_msgs, flood_persecond and flood_waitdelay and it didnt work too.
but where is the server.cfg file? i looked for it a lot of time and i didnt find. is it in one of the pk3 files? and what is its name? |
Not in the pk3s..
It is in the main folder and is named server.cfg , why dont you just contact your server provider and ask them to help you locate it or send you a copy of it via email.. |
