GroundForce1 IRC Channel - All are welcome
 

Hey guys,

I've just registered #Groundforce1 with the support of BadScript, and it's up and running.

Feel free to pop on in - It's on GAMESURGE....Your best bet is to download an IRC client like mIRC....From [url=http://www.mirc.com/get.html:61601]here[/url:61601]

(I know there's a way to access the channel from a browser window, but I'm not entirely sure how to do so - If anyone knows how, post in thread....)

If you're new to IRC, it's basically.....well I dunno what it is, but in our case, it's basically just a chat client. biggrin:

Now, along with GF1 Itself, upon entering the channel you'll be given a clean slate. I'm not going to hold any grudges with anyone that comes on in, and I'm intending to be as fair as possible - So feel free to come on in and have a chat with some of the other aa.comers (soon to be GF1ers)....

If you're having any trouble with entering the channel, or using IRC, just PM me (or post in this thread) and I'll try and get back to you with some advice.

I've decided to get this up and running now, because I wanted to help out in some way with the launching of GF1....I'm also hopeful that we will get some new IRC users to chat with as a result - Just thought I would give you all an early heads up.

I just got mIRC, and it says unable to creat socket. Can anyone help me out?

Yup, that is very well possible.... I only know of mIRC as being a Windows based IRC client being SOCKS compliant at the moment. No other IRC Clients support firewalls. You need a SOCKS compliant IRC client to be able to IRC over a firewall.
