HT Sub Construction Pics... ALOT of pics...

Took 4 straight days from design to completion. My best work so far, still not very good, I'm too impatient to do anything like this very well :p
Anyways, I took lots of pictures... so here... skip to the bottom for finished pics

Assembled box and start to bondo...

Best "bondo" stuff I've used yet... expensive though.

Covered and started to sand...

Inside view.. ooo... the hole is for the parts express plate amp.

TONS of sanding later... I start spot puddying..

Finishing sanding...

The filler primer I used, good stuff

Primed and sanded with 1000grit and ready for paint

First coat...

Applied ED stenciled logo here... PITA...

Pretty sunset that night...

Skipped some steps... sanding, clearcoat, clearcoat, clearcoat, etc...

****FINISHED*****
ughhhh didnt clean it off for the pics well so there are a few imperfections that arent really there.

The box is tuned to 27hz or so and plays wonderfully! Shakes the whole house. It will be plenty to get lots of complaints in my dorm
It will be paired with custom cherry cabinets from Mr Marv with dayton drivers powered off a Harmon Kardon stereo reciever (100x2 @ 8ohm)
The parts express plate amp puts out full power @ 4 ohm... and since the e8a is dual 4, I had to step it up to 8ohm so it is only getting around ~150watts. Gets LOUD though.

2 12"s will be crazy in a little dorm room! This single 8 shakes the entire living room, 2 12"s would knock pictures off the walls.

I live on the first floor and a buddy of mine lives on the 3rd. Our prediction is he'll be able to hear it from my room.

They are a step up from bestbuy/circuit city line ups. Mid-end stuff, but remember they are in the market with "high end" units costing 5 figures. I got mine reburbed for $250. Goes new for ~$600.
