It runs swell, but i have this prob'm. Link when you turn fast or something, it looks like the textures are like pulling, like flickering. Anyone know how to stop that?

I turned it off in the geforce opengl settings and it still does it, is there a way to turn it off of my monitor? It's so frustrating because when i turn some stuff like pictures and stuff look like they are vibrating or something.

Open the console and type r_swapinterval 1
I had this same problem with my Geforce3. It's called screen tearing, I guess it's a known issue. enable v-sync is the solution. IT happends because the Geforce3 renders the graphics faster than the monitor can display them. [This message has been edited by LeadWall (edited January 30, 2002).] |
there is no reason to not enable vsync.
turn vsync off for benchmarking and on for playing games. otherwise you get nasty tearing and such. |
THANK YOU SO SO SO SO VERY MUCH! that r_swapinterval 1 worked and now it doesn't do it, thanks a million everyone.

weird, i typed r_swapinterval 1 and I liked the way it looked better.

I had the same problem so I turned on V-Sync and everything worked fine.

With VSync on, my Geforce 3 Ti 200 runs fine also.

You might get lower FPS because it syncs it to your monitor's refresh rate, but since most people have it at like 60+, it doesn't matter.
Here's a wierd thing though... I have a GF3 Ti200, and my refresh rate is set at 75. For some reason. I can't break 62 FPS. Its not like I'm lagging to make it not break 62, it just refuses to go above that. I don't really care, it runs fine at 62 FPS (except it drops down to 30 every time I get into heavy foliage). |
