MOH sever and GameSpy???
Have set up my first MOH server on my public server.
The problem is, i can't find it in the multiplayer server list. When i try to connect to the server with it's IP i get in, no problem. Do i need to have GameSpy installed to get it listed? Because i do not have GS installed... Thx for any reply. |
If you are looking for your game in the in-game browser, you won't find it as the in game browser doesn't show any games at your IP address. I hear it can take 10 to 15 minutes for your game to show up at Gamespy, I don't use them though. If you are trying to connect to your game across a home network you will find your game in the LAN section.

you need to input this command into your server.cfg file (or whatever the config file is named: [code:67807]seta sv_gamespy 1[/code:67807]
this will allow your game to be seen in ASE, Gamespy and the ingame browser. (wait 10-15min like johnj said) |

Johnj: The MOH server is running on another server i have.. on the backbone of a company t3 line.. so its not on the same network as my computer... so thats no problem.
Ok, so if i set "seta sv_gamespy 1" in my config file it will show up in the ingame browser after a while, do not need GameSpy installed? |
nope - gamespy does not need to be installed.
its just telling gamespy, ase and the gamebrowser that you wish to be listed :) |
