Steve Vai and Dave Matthews to Honor Carlos Santana

The Latin Recording Academy® has announced that Salma Hayek and the executive producer of the evening, Quincy Jones, will present international superstar Carlos Santana with the 2004 Latin Recording Academy Person Of The Year award. George Lopez and Cheech Marin will co-host the tribute gala to take place Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

Steve Vai will perform "Love Of My Life" with Dave Matthews. Other artists paying tribute to Santana include Cabas, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Black Eyed Peas, Café Quijano, Fher of Maná, La Ley, Ozomatli, Robi Draco Rosa, Rob Thomas and Julieta Venegas.
