Ive rented a surfing documentary and they have waves bigger...they went out into the middle of the ocean where teir are huges ones once ever so many years...it was weird, no land in sight, but monster waves.

Its not fake...even if that one was, I saw on the national geographic channel that these guysin australia were riding a 40 foot wave....Pretty intense.
