when is it suppose to come out...what date..because its already available on steam

No set date, its on steam yes, people have the games on their harddrive already but the final files have yet to be released because of valve and vivendi (the publisher) being in court, and the fact vivendi havn't given the release candidate approval to be duplicated as theyre "concerned about the game living up to community expectations". Nevermind the fact the games already got 3 reviews of 96% or over, apparently this is not good enough. Just another stalling tactic imo so they can release it right up christmas's ass.

I have the Collector's edition preordered at EB and the official release date is still set at November 1st. Now if it gets pushed back a little bit I won't be dissapointed because Halo 2 comes out a week later and I'll be preoccupied playing that anyway.

Ive yet to see valve giving any "official" date because vivendi can hold into the game for upto 6 months if they choose to do so. Its still not gold or has even started duplicatin.
