If he dies will this be good or bad for the Palestinian people? Might usher in change and maybe get the jews/palestinians back toa negotiating table?

arafat is one of the richest dictators in the world, he holds his peoples money from them

if they had money to build good schools and buy food, they might stop blaming all thier problems on the israelis

i think arafat is a HUGE cause of the terrorism, hes also a huge liar, he says shit to the americans in one language that he will cooperate, then he turns around and tells his people in arabic that they should not cooperate and to fight for thier land

I think the only good Arafat is a dead Arafat.

he has been in power for 35+ years? he hasnt accomplished much IMO...maybe he has established a constitution and set up some faux governmental structure but past that...meh... eek:

Arafat is undoubtedly a pretty bad man but his death wont accomplish anything because somebody even worse then Arafat will take power, somebody who believes in what he did, and the violence and bloodshed will continue.
