Just a note on the first, the thick border is to formal/ doesn't fit well with the grungy ness around the cop, the new one is much better use it. but that is just my 2 cents.

naa, wouldn't have looked trendy at all. Don't hold back on doing something cause you don't want to have to hear people pop in and say something like its trendy, fact being half the nubs around here can't do it. (strvs, you can do it and you make awesome stuff so lets not get all pissy, the generalization did not include you). Still they both look great., Just if you wanna try out a quick new border on that other one.
