Another "What's the best video card" thred.
 

The holiday season is fast on the approach and my mom is going to purchase my x-mas gift in the form of a new video card! FINALLY!

Not looking to spend a huge amount of cash on the card, maybe about 150 bucks. MY comp stats are 1 gig p3, 512mb ram. I was thinking about a 9600 radeon 128mb . Also looking to buy an AGP card. If anyone knows of any sales or good places to buy, please post.

Ill be getting a GeForce 6600GT in AGP. Beats out the 9800Pro/XT in all the benchmarks and reviews ive seen.

There is no video card worth buying for $150.

Grab a 6600GT for $200 or maybe you'll get lucky and find a 9800 Pro for ~$170.

I'm not looking for a video card that'll like make the graphics super duper uper..er... just something that's better then my 32mb geeforce 2 hehe. I've heard good things about 9600 but then I hear bad shit about 9600 se and that xt is better, but pro is great etc...
