Need some help

I just bought a used copy of the game, but it has no manual. A couple of questions:

1) Can I play multiplayer-style, but just against the computer (no real folks)...I'm tired of doing the objectives thing (I just want to shoot at some germans without having to worry about.

2) it's probably because of our corporate firewall (i guess), but I've tried typing in several IP addresses for game servers that I've found on websites. Any ideas on anything I might be doing wrong?

Best,

-p

1) you need to download bot maps...

2) i really dont know maybe the servers are down or maybe it is your firewall

simply allow your mohaa.exe for all communication in your firewall

1) Yeah, as CoWGoMoo said, you'll have to download computer players (aka AI, Bots) off the internet. Bots are not official files however (meaning they were not made by the company that made the game), so you'll have to do some stuff after you download them, before you can use them in Multiplayer.

2) Make sure you have the [url=ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/MOHAA_UKUS_ONLY_patch111v9safedisk.exe:30389]1.11 patch downloaded[/url:30389] and installed, and as CoWGoMoo and m1ck said, make sure mohaa.exe is enabled for internet access in your firewall.

How do I make sure MOA(AA) is firewall enabled? I'm sorry, I bought the CD off of eBay, and it came with just the CD (no documentation). Thanks for the replies everyone (BTW, this game is very cool).

If your IT Dept is on its toes, you won't be able to play at work. You need to get a computer and high-speed access at your home.

Depends on what kind of firewall are you using.

For most firewall programs though, all you have to do is open up your firewall program, find and view the list of Internet Applications allowed to hook up to the internet, and then press Add A New Allowed Application, browse for a shortcut to play MOHAA and enter that in, or just add MOHAA.exe from the [Drive and Path]Program Files/EA GAMES/MOHAA folder (both work just as well).

It should be that simple.
