they wrote all theyre songs after 1967 and then released More of The Monkees which was entirely them, it was also the number 1 album of that year

acually i originally like punk because everyone like punk, but when i started listening to launch radio for some reason they started play The Zombies wich i rated high then they played other bands like The Monkees, The Doors, Sloan, Rooney, Of Montrealm etc. I didnt acually even listen to The Beatles until a few months ago when i heard them on the car radio since they dont play them on launch.....plus most people dont even like classic 60's rock, most people like 70s-80s AC/DC Led Zeplin, Aerosmith and all that crap.

Led Zeppelin is also IMO one of the most overrated bands of all time, Bonham is leet though.

Only good stuff from that era : Black Sabbath (Heavy as shit for their time), Rush, Bob Dylan.
