HL2 crashing at end of game
 

Right after I blow up the combine transporter, the old guy comes out and starts talking about time, just as the screen does the "negative" effect windows crashes and reboots my PC. This happen to anyone else? I'll post the crash report next time I load the game.

I had that problem at the end of opposing force, on my cousins shitty windows M/E

Okay. Get a better vid card, graphx card, more RAM, and a new motherboard

defrag? nothing much happens after that scene anyways.

trust me i don't need a better rig. I already did a defrag and it did nothing.

I'll try to clean up the HD a bit but i doubt it'll work.

your an idiot main...he got thru the whole game with that pc, to see the last 20 seconds he doesnt need a super pc. oh and video and graphic cards are the same thing. spell them right next time to please.

What processes are running in the background ? Maybe a corrupted HL2 file causing the problem ? If you want the dialogue for the scene, I can give it to you...

Dragon i havent played the game but i go with either something the graphics drivers couldnt do or a corrupt file. Prob do better with a console dump or error report

next time I try the game and it crashes I'll try to post some more info.

There are no odd programs running in the background and my drivers have been updated... ugh
